The CLME courses are the eight core elements of training not only for the CLME Designation, but to develop the understanding necessary to be a successful real estate farmer. The Introduction to Farming should always be the first class you take, but after that, the courses may be taken in any order.
INTRODUCTION TO FARMING: Understand what farming is, why we farm, what consumers look for in an agent, and what successful agents need to focus on in farming.
CHOOSING A GEOGRAPHIC FARM: One of the biggest elements of farming is where you choose to do it. This course helps look at the important external elements you need to be aware of in choosing your farm. We teach you the Opportunity Rate Formula, discuss some branding concepts that are vital to understand when choosing your farm, and discuss goal-setting as it applies to the development of your strategic plan for farming.
BRANDING 101: As a farmer, you will become an expert in brand management. We take an entire course to outline the basics of branding and what you need to know as a farmer. We look at some of the most successful brands out there, and learn about what they do to stay first in mind. We develop an understanding of reticular activation, a scientific understanding of how the mind of the consumer works, and we look at the elements of what makes up a brand.
CREATING YOUR BRAND IDENTITY: When farming your community, it is necessary to build and maintain an agent-centric brand. We’ll help you understand what goes into that, including choosing a brand name, a logo, and how to present that brand in your farm for the most benefit to you.
MARKETING EFFECTIVELY IN YOUR FARM: This course looks at ways to market to your farm in such a way that your brand grows, stays consistently in the minds of the consumer, and builds trust in their minds, so that when they think of real estate, they think of you. This course also includes the Jackpot of Marketing Ideas, walking through tried-and-true marketing ideas from top farming agents, including social media.
RUNNING FARM ROUTE: The Farm Route course outlines the ways to connect with local businesses, local organizations, and area residents in an authentic manner. The course also outlines how to conduct a neighborhood network meeting to help local business leaders network consistently, and how to do business visits.
BEING A LOCAL MARKET EXPERT: Those who hold a CLME designation don’t just call themselves experts in the local market: they learn how to become an expert and to remain an expert. This course covers the things an agent should always know about their farm, and ways to discover their stats. This course also discusses the CLME Attitude, the ways that successful farm agents conduct themselves in their farm to build trust with future clients.
PAST CLIENT AND NICHE FARMING: When a farm agent is consistently branded in a farm area, they enjoy the benefits of marketing to niche groups within that farm, and this course teaches how to do that. In addition, we focus on how to farm your database of past clients to enjoy repeat business and referrals.
